Winston Nanan is honored to be featured in The Contributor – “Profiling the builders of Chaguanas Vol 2 – 2012”.
Winston’s work in the Caroni Swamp was not only instrumental in lobbying for the protection of the Scarlet Ibis, but also in achieving protection for the swamp as a reserve, which then became known as The Caroni Bird Sanctuary.
His dedicated conservational activity as well as his tour business has played a key role in the development of the borough by developing the eco-tourism industry and paving the way, as pioneers, for the future of the industry as well.
